At Usk Valley Herbs, everything begins with the changing seasons.
From the first flush of roses in early summer to lavender harvested in July and seed heads gathered as autumn approaches, the rhythm of the year shapes everything we grow and everything we create.
Our family farm sits in the beautiful Usk Valley, where we grow herbs, flowers and botanicals alongside a working farm of cattle and arable fields. It's a place where the seasons still set the pace, and where much of our inspiration is found simply by stepping outside.
What began as a search for simpler skincare has grown into something much broader: a celebration of the plants that surround us and the quiet beauty they bring to everyday life.
How It Began
For many years I struggled with chronic respiratory problems and eczema.
Like so many people, I found myself trying product after product, only to discover that my skin seemed happier the simpler my routine became.
I gradually returned to natural soaps, botanical balms and traditional ingredients, choosing products that felt gentle, uncomplicated and rooted in nature.
That journey didn't stop with skincare.
Living and working on the farm, I became increasingly fascinated by the herbs and flowers growing around us. Lavender drying in the barn, roses gathered on warm summer mornings, herbs picked from the garden and seed heads collected from the hedgerows all reminded me that some of the most beautiful things are also the simplest.
Those moments slowly became the foundation of Usk Valley Herbs.
Growing With the Seasons
Nature doesn't work to a calendar, and neither do we.
Every year is a little different.
Some summers bring an abundance of roses. Others are remembered for their lavender. Autumn fills the hedgerows with berries and seed heads, while winter quietly prepares the garden for another growing season.
Rather than rushing the process, we let the landscape guide us.
Many of the botanicals used in our collections are grown, harvested and dried here on the farm, carefully gathered at their best before becoming part of our botanical skincare and home fragrance collections.
